RAISING FUNDS TO SAVE THE STAGE AND SAVE THE ARTS

With so many venues shutting their doors it's time to step up and help make sure one of Long Island's greatests can remain operational! VBTLive, The Muse Exchange and Alive After Five have teamed up to bring you a live broadcast and art auction raising funds to help cover operational costs for the venue and support artists and performers across the island!

ABOUT 89 NORTH

The founders of 89 North were frustrated with the Long Island live music scene. All they saw was an endless array of crowded bars and clubs that would stick a performer in a corner of a dining room, or restaurants that advertised “live music” but only had a karaoke-quality microphone for their musicians. So the team set out to create a venue that caters to musicians and music lovers. The result is 89 North—a space that has the friendly and intimate atmosphere of a hometown bar along with the stage and equipment necessary to put on a premium rock concert. At 89 North it is truly all about the music.

MUSIC IN PERIL

In March, 89 North found themselves where many other music venues did, with empty barstools and locked doors. They quickly took to the virtual landscape and began hosting live broadcasts featuring local musicians - letting people tune in from home to watch.

Now we're giving back to 89 North in support for all they have done for our community before, and during isolation. For keeping the arts alive during dificult times, we thank them, and are hosting this fundraiser in their honour.
